The American Museum of Natural History was established in 1869. The Museum is one of the world's preeminent institutions for scientific research and education, with collections of more than 32 million natural specimens and cultural artifacts. The Museum provides the public with a complete educational experience through its unique exhibitions, classes, lectures, films, and other events.
Hours of Operation:
The Museum is open daily, 10:00 a.m.—5:45 p.m.
The Rose Center remains remains open until 8:45 p.m. on the first Friday of every month.
The Museum is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
