Research
The gallery has a well stocked Resource area with a variety of books and publications and access to the Crafts Council Photostore, featuring over 1000 selected designer-makers.

Craftsense
Craftsense is Bilston Craft Gallery's permanent exhibition displaying the best of our craft and decorative art collections.

Come and explore three hundred years of craft history together with works from some leading figures of the contemporary craft scene. With a variety of interactives including audio sound-bites, handling materials and an IT kiosk to explore, let your senses guide you through Craftsense.

At the heart of the exhibition is over 100 world renowned Bilston enamels. Many of the pieces on display have received conservation and restoration work from Jackfield Conservation Studios, to preserve our local heritage.

The exhibition features four commissioned craft pieces by John Grayson, James Griffin, Laura Potter and Karina Thompson. These works were made in celebration of the variety of skills practised in this area for over three hundred years. Each unique piece takes its inspiration from historic objects in our collection. These handmade works were also designed to be handled and touched by our visitors, providing a sense of the historic objects on display.
