The Cradle of Aviation museum is a fantastic Museum on Long Island's Museum Row. The kids will love it. There are more airplanes and space exhibits than any of the flight museums I have been to. It has a lot of hands on exhibits, an IMAX theatre and a Firefighters musem. It has exhibits of every ERA of airplane with real planes from each era. I took a 2.5, 5, and 7 year old and they all had a great time and they were worn out by the time we finished. It is struggling to become more well know and needs support. We came in from Texas and enjoyed it immensly. There is a great Children's museum right next door. A great location to take kids.
