Velveteria: Museum of Velvet Paintings

A museum dedicated to the art of velvet painting in Portland, Oregon. On display are around 350 masterpieces from their rotating collection of over 2,000 velvets. In the museum, you can find a special room for black light creations, nudes, celebrity portraits and more. Established in 2005, Velveteria has settled into it's second home on East Burnside. Admission is $5.00, cash only. T-shirts, magnets and our book are available called "Black Velvet Masterpieces: Highlights from the Collection of the Velveteria Museum", by Caren Anderson and Carl Baldwin, owners of Velveteria. velvet paintings are very soothing also looks very natural and it is very nice to have a museum on this ,it will definitely promote the art of velvet paintings and drawing.
