The Bear Flag Museum is a nonprofit, online museum/library providing a premier resource for all information, knowledge and materials related to the California Bear Flag and California State Flag to promote and inspire appreciation and study of these flags and their roles in California history. Efforts to reach these goals are made through research, collection, display, analyses, evaluation, and through dissemination of such resources via exhibition, publication, educational programs and presentations.

The Bear Flag Museum has been in operation online since January 2007, and also has a presence on myspace, Facebook and at Sacwiki.
